It is with a heavy heart that we announce the final resting and burial ceremony of our beloved son, Late Navy Captain Caleb Omoniyi Olubolade (rtd) , which will take place on Saturday, August 9th, 2025. As we bid farewell to this great achiever, we take pride in celebrating his life, legacy, and numerous accomplishments.
Late Navy Captain Caleb Omoniyi Olubolade (rtd) was a shining star who touched countless lives through his selfless service, leadership, and dedication to excellence. His achievements and contributions will forever be remembered and cherished. Some of his notable positions and achievements include:
- Military Administrator of Bayelsa State: June 27, 1997 - July 9, 1998, appointed by General Sani Abacha's military government
- Federal Minister of Special Duties: April 6, 2010 - 2015, appointed by Acting President Goodluck Jonathan
- Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT): under President Goodluck Jonathan's administration
- Minister of Police Affairs: under President Goodluck Jonathan's administration
Additionally, Olubolade held other roles, including;
- Chairman of the Ekiti State Project Monitoring Committee: appointed by Governor Segun Oni
- Aspirant for Governor of Ekiti State: in the April 2007 elections under the Action Congress (AC) and later under the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in 2014
- He served with distinction in the Nigerian Navy, demonstrating exceptional leadership and professionalism.
- Community Development: He was a passionate advocate for community development, empowering individuals and promoting collective progress.
- Mentorship: He mentored many young people, sharing his wisdom, experience, and expertise to help them achieve their goals.
As we lay him to rest, we take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. We will continue to celebrate his life, honor his memory, and draw inspiration from his remarkable achievements.
We invite all well-wishers, friends, family, and associates to join us as we pay our last respects to this great son of Ipoti Ekiti. Your presence will be a testament to the impact he had on our lives and the lives of others.
