I remember when we used to pack ęsisun inside the aafin back in the early 80s. Kabiyesi would be saying,ę maa rora o ęyin omode wonyii ki igan ma lo buyinję oo. He was my paternal grandmother's brother.My grandma, A.K.A
eye ęlęmu's house is a stone's throw. It's the only house still standing behind the new aafin today in her honour. She's the daughter of Oba Agbada Ogidan, who reigned before Oba Ajigunna. It was during Oba Agbada Ogidan's era,that eni ęwęlę(mat weaving) circa,19th century ,which would later become the economic mainstay of the Ipoti women was introduced. An Ọgọtun native who married from Ipoti, introduced it to our great women back then.
